Perugia

It is located in the center of the Umbria region, with 5 historical districts enclosed by the Etruscan walls. The huge bastions, formed by cyclopean squared boulders and put in place 22 centuries ago, are still visible for long stretches. The gateway to the acropolis is the Rocca Paolina, a unique historical-architectural complex, “container” of the medieval city hidden inside. Crossing it with the escalators you climb to the heart of the city: along Corso Vannucci you reach Piazza IV Novembre dominated by the Fontana Maggiore dating back to 1200. Perugino, Pinturicchio and Raffaello, the contemporaneity of Burri and Beuys will accompany you along the streets of the acropolis.

Corciano

Famous for being one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, popular tradition wants, that “Corciano” means Heart of Giano or Colle di Giano. In the account of Corciano and Perugia, chivalrous legend of the fourteenth century, the name derives from Coragino, mythical founder of the castle of Corciano and companion of Ulysses.

One of the main typical products of the village is honey, recognized both nationally and internationally. Important is also the production of saffron, from which are made many derivatives such as pasta, cheese, wines etc.

In the craft sector, the village of Corciano hosts several excellences: from chalcographies, to clothes and jewelry in paper and recycled materials, to ceramics, to reproductions of medieval wind instruments.

Lago Trasimeno

The “sea of Perugia”, is the fourth Italian lake by extension and the largest in central Italy. One of the most beautiful natural jewels of Umbria, among the reeds and the enchanting white water lily: the surrounding countryside that frames the surface of the lake creates breathtaking views to admire, as well as the discovery of the territory surrounding the lake, rich in villages and treasures to explore, from Castiglione del Lago to Magione, from Passignano sul Trasimeno to Panicale, from Piegaro to Città della Pieve. There are three islands: the Polvese, the largest, the Major, the only inhabited and the Minor, the smallest. A walk on the shores of the lake, a boat ride, a visit to the islands, there are many possible activities.
